Dobriša Cesarić was born in Slavonska Pozega 10th of January 1902. Childhood conducted in Osijek, where he finished primary school and four lower grades of high school. In the midst of World War I came 1912 in Zagreb, where he completed high school and after graduation 1920 enrolled law, and a year after philosophy.
A short time working in theater in Zagreb, and then for many years as a librarian in the Hygienic Institute, and after the Second World War he worked as an editor at the publishing company of Zora. He died in Zagreb on december 18, 1980. He was a member of the Yugoslav Academy of Sciences and Literature art. In the first time, as fourteen years old, appeared 1916. song "I love you." The first collection of poems, "Lyrics," published 1931st years and it gets the Yugoslav Academy Award. Cooperating in many literary magazines - Literary republic contemporaries Critique, Croatia show ... - publishes literary representations, translated from German, Russian, Italian, Bulgarian and Hungarian languages. He published the following books: Poetry, Saved light; Selected verses, Songs, Book translations, Finding your way; Naked lessons, Selected poems, and came out a collection of translations of world poets, Book translations. Poetic work of Dobrisa Cesarić contains 10 books of poems and several books of his poetry and translations.
