
NATURE PARK UČKA
The Ucka mountain dominates over Istria and Kvarner - Nature Park covers an area of 160 km2, and the highest peak of Učka is Vojak (1401 m).
Situated on one of the northernmost points of the Mediterranean, the mountain dominates over Istria and Kvarner. The Nature Park covers an area of 160 km2. If you want to enjoy one of the most beautiful panoramas in this part of Europe, climb the highest peak of Učka - Vojak (1401 m). On it there is a stone tower from which a clear day offers a fantastic panoramic view of the Istrian peninsula, the islands of the northern Adriatic Sea, the mountains of Gorski Kotar, Venice and the Alps.
Ucka is the only place in the world where endemic Učkarski zvoncic grows, and one of the last European sites where bird lovers can see the griffon vulture and golden eagle. In addition to the good vibrations, you can enjoy chestnuts, asparagus and other healthy food specialties.
