REGIONAL PARK MURA DRAVA
The area of the river ecosystem river Drava and Mura.
Decision of the Ministry of Culture of 04 February 2008. Drava Mura area of prevention is protected in the category of a regional park. It stretches through five Croatian counties and in the Koprivnica-Križevci of Virovitica-Podravina, Međimurje and Osijek-Baranja County and follows the border of the Rivers.
Partly accompanied by the Croatian border with Slovenia and Hungary. It covers an area of marshland formed along the rivers, and includes a transitional area with agricultural areas and smaller settlements along the river to the mouth of the Drava and the Danube near Aljmaš.
Within a period not longer than three years from the date of issuance of preventive protection should be declared permanent protection of this area. According to the Law on Nature Protection, the regional park is a large natural or partly cultivated land and / or sea with environmental features of international, national or regional importance and landscape values typical for the area in which it is located.
