
ZRINSKI GARDENS FAMILY - AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE COMPLEX ČAKOVEC FORTRESS
It is located around the Old City Zrinski in Čakovec. The park is an integral part of the complex Cakovecka fort, which at this point, there since the 13th century.
Čakovečki Park is an integral part of the complex Cakovecka fort, which at that point, though rebuilt and restored, is located on 13 century. The park is located several monuments, statues, memorial structures (plaque) and other sculptural works of art. There are, among others, a bronze statue of Croatian ban Nikola Zrinski Siget, baroque stone statue of St. Jerome (appointed 1766.) And a monument in the shape of the stone obelisk Medimurec killed in World War II. At the entrance to the park, also on the verge of Cakovec main square and as an integral part thereof, is situated a stone monument monumental Viceroy and poet Nikola Zrinski Čakovec, which consists of a base with deep relief character Nicholas Zrinski and rounded pillars on whose top an eagle with outstretched wings to rest on the sword (as Nikola's a symbol of chivalry and heroism) and lira (as a symbol of the ban's poetry).
