
BACINA LAKES, PLOČE
Lakes have exceptional natural value as a habitat for a large number of protected and even endemic species of plants and animals. Bacina lakes are real little kingdom of nature.
Bacina Lakes are a set of lakes in the city Bacina panel on the right (north-west) side of the river Neretva in the Dubrovnik-Neretva (Croatia). The lakes are relatively small (138 acres), but are among the most interesting phenomena in karst hydrography. Irregular in shape, which is particularly reflected in the bottom relief. They consist of six joined a separate lake. The lakes are approximately 3 ° C warmer than the sea, and are comfortable for swimming, surfing and ship ride.
