
CAVE NAKOVANA, OREBIC PENINSULA
Spila Nakovana the only well-preserved and fully explored Illyrian shrine known.
The cave is not open to javost because archaeological investigations are carried out. Above the village Nakovana, in a cave called "Spila", archaeologists have discovered and explored Illyrian shrine from the Hellenistic period (4th-1st century BC). The entrance to the shrine was closed on rocks, and has remained intact since the shrine was abandoned two thousand godina.Spila in Nakovana only well preserved and complete istraženoilirsko shrine known.
