Serious and organized dealing in wine-making in this area began during Janos Zuanija. This nobleman, built the same year within the castle, for that time, an exemplary wine cellar.

The gradual development of viticulture acclimated to the typical Slavonian varieties: Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Gewurztraminer and Rizvanac, which provide high-quality and highly prized white wines.
