
FRAN BUBANOVIĆ
(Sisak, November 19, 1883rd - Zagreb, February 6, 1956.), Croatian chemist.
Studied chemistry and natural history in Zagreb. Since 1909. studied in Germany and the Netherlands, and the Nobel laureate S. Arrhenius in Sweden. Of 1918. he was elected professor of chemistry at the newly founded School of Medicine in Zagreb, where he developed extensive scientific and pedagogical activity. He pointed to the modern university as a writer of textbooks in which, first in Croatia, encompass the entire Inorganic and Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry. The scientific work covers mainly the area of physical chemistry.
