It protects Karbuni bay against sharp southern winds and all other winds coming from the open sea. Zvirinovik is inhabited with mouflons. There are two versions of the story of how they arrived at the islet, according to one, they were brought by hunters, according to other they were donation to Blato leaders, who then did not know what to do with them, so they brought them to Zvirinovik. The small island is ideal for swimming and diving.
