The originator of the modern Croatian naive art, the central person and mentor to generations of other Hlebine painting school. He has exhibited in Paris and Brussels, Baden-Baden, Basel, Bratislava, Shanghai, Beijing, Tokyo, St. Petersburg, Madrid and others participated in the Biennale in Sao Paulo, which has launched an international recognition of Croatian naive art. He was buried at the cemetery in the village Sigetec Peteranec District, where he lived the last years of life.
