
The central monument in the square Požega circular pillar, which on top of a statue of the Holy Trinity. The Baroque monument was erected in 1749th as a memorial of 798 citizens of Požega who died of the plague epidemic which raged from 15 May to 28 studenog 1739th year when the city had about two thousand inhabitants. The monument says that it has raised the city, and made "pictor di Veneto" Gabriel Granicije to 2000 eggs and 300 forints. The square pedestal is the inscription, a prominent letters, read as Roman numerals, add up to a year of construction. On the eastern side of the base, and today, the coat of arms, carved seventeen years before it was officially approved 1765.
