It is located in a beautiful building and the Governor's Palace keeps a large part of the s history and development of navigation and an unavoidable stop tour of the city. With a permanent ethnographic exhibition on the ground floor, first floor of the cultural and historical setting, and White, Red, Green and Yellow lounge and Marble Hall and the imposing atrium reflects the former splendor of the palace and the living culture of higher social classes at the turn of the century. In the museum one can see stylistic and morphological development of the furniture from the Renaissance to historicism, and part of a collection of watches created in the early 18th the mid-20th century. Portraits of personalities from public life, Rivers also can be seen here as the memorial collection of Dr. Franjo Kresnik in the world famous violin makers.
