KUMROVEC

Kumrovec "the most famous village in the world."

Place together with Bistrica ob Sotli from everywhere started Peasant Revolt 1573.g. (Elijah Gregorič) represents the starting point of the first struggle for human rights in the region. Here is the first Croatian born prima donna (Sidonija Erdody Rubido) who first sang the Croatian language. Here Josip Broz Tito was born. Within Kumrovec is original and unique with the original old village houses, about 40 of them Each tells its own story about the life of people in the beginning of the 20th century. The village is full of legends about the Peasant Revolt, about the life of the people before more than 100 years, the legend of Joseph Broz.
