LAKE SABLJACI

A real pearl of the lake Ogulin Sabljaci, accumulated on lake was created on river Mrežnica.

A real pearl of the lake Ogulin Sabljaci, accumulation lake formed in the course of river Mrežnica. This is the eleventh largest lake in Croatia, many called "Ogulin sea" (170 ha). If you look at it from above the village of Prelesje Desmerice, you really seem like a big bay. Composition of local fish species trout, grass carp and chub and tench capital is widely known, is a mecca for fishermen, but also provides unlimited possibilities for skiers, swimmers, rowers, surfing, pleasant walks and bike rides. On the lake in recent years maintained rowing regatta, which hosts members of the rowing club "Sabljaci" established in the recent war years. On the right bank of the lake is the restaurant "Sabljaci".
