From an early age he showed great talent, so it is no surprise that, when he was a 14-year-old, Irfan Smajlagic invited him to play for the cadet team. As a cadet he won the European title in Estonia, and was named player of the championship. As a player, RK Djakovo debuted in the first Croatian handball league with 16 years of age. Already two years later became the best goalscorer of the league. Because of the great games of his parent club, bought him a RK Zagreb. Year 2009. become a player from HSV Hamburg. He was declared as the best Croatian handball player in 2011.
