PULLING MRDULJA - ISLAND OF ŠOLTA, JULY 2017.
First "Pulling Mrduja" organized 2008th since when is traditionally held every year on the last weekend in July. Every year the tug takes place all over the boat, but the number of viewers on ships in the waters Mrduja increases from year to year.

The islands of Brac and Solta are located only 800 meters , but the lack of shipping links between them made them more distant than they actually are , events'' Pulling Mrduja '' is one way to connect these two islands and closer.
Overall event " Pulling Mrduja " consists of three parts and lasts two days. The first part , " užežin " , is held the day before the tug on one of the islands in the evening in the form of folk festivals with live music , and since 2011 in the first place evenings and traditional race PASARA . The second part takes place in the afternoon of the second day of the event in the waters of the island Mrduja where the two sides gather boats from both islands and rowing are trying to tighten their side of the rope tied to Mrduja . During this time SGZ Olinto music cheers participants , guests with boats cheering , singing and dropped flares hoping to boats with their islands to win outright . After the spectacle of the sea , all participants retire to their ports in order to prepare for a big bash and announcement of the winners . The final festival takes place annually on the second island.
