Undoubtedly the uniqueness of culture and kind of the Sibenik trademark of Sibenik for forty years is the International Children's Festival, the unique and well established Croatian cultural event. The festival was first held in 1958th year, as the realization of the initiative and commitment of a few enthusiasts in the art for kids, but it quickly developed into a large and complex mechanism festival of international significance. Based on three inseparable components: child, city festivals and events, this is a cultural manifestation of the very best kind of festival in the works for children and children's creativity.
Programme orientation Festival its implementation is not only in Sibenik, Croatia, but also across and around the world. The concept of the festival and humanitarian goals are fully supported by UNICEF and UNESCO and the constant patronage of the Croatian President. The festival is a member of the International Festivals Association - UNIMA-ei ASSITEJ.
