Summer is the mother's cultural and entertainment event that lasts from mid June to beggining of August.

Summer is the mother's cultural and entertainment event that lasts from mid June to late July. As part of the mother's summer we have a series of events - concerts, plays, exhibitions, etc. However, to highlight the celebration of the City (13.07.), Which is always held on Saturday close to that date.

This keeps the mother's day fair, with exhibitors from all over the county and beyond. Then we have a solemn procession of historic Croatian troops guard the city (last year it was attended by 18) and as a highlight of the evening in the evening we have a reconstruction of the historic sea battle that attack the Venetians in the copper back in 1616 As for the reconstruction of the battle, it was attended by three old sailing ship fitted with fireworks, and defending the historic Copper HV units with 5 of cannon, three along the coast and two in the upper city.

The battle took place about 10 o'clock in the evening for a better atmosphere and lighting effects, and along the waterfront were placed torches. It was a real spectacle, which ended in a magnificent fireworks display in honor of the victory. Then the party continues into the night. From my heart would recommend everyone to join us that day, and greatly increase our celebrations and visits to our city just on the day of Bakar lives to the fullest just like the good old days.
