ROMAN DAYS IN CIBALE, VINKOVCI, 26.-25. MAY 2017.
Vinkovci is a city with a rich cultural heritage which is reflected not only by the sounds and smells Šokadija, but also through the many archaeological and historical findings.
The motto of this year's Roman Day is: Quam Caesar, winner of Pannoniis? Saltem tres! How Much Caesar Should Be Panicked? At least three! Talking about the battles between Panonian tribes and Roman forces, in which three Caesars (Tiberias, Germans and August), despite their shortcomings and resistance, managed to beat the Panons and force them to surrender.
The Tourist Board of the City of Vinkovci organizes the fifth anniversary of the 26th and 27th May for the fifth time. And this year, Vinkovci will discover the secrets of ancient Rome.
Through the various workshops for children, a small galaxy school, a Roman products fair, pottery making, gladiator fights, legionary formation, story telling, historical battle story, juggler game with fire and Roman delicacies, are trying to show the life of the Romans in the Vinkovci area.
