The basic idea and concept of the buildings was given by Ivan Mestrovic, who is also an investor, and conceived as a combination of building the memorial, artistic and religious. Construction works lasted since 1926. to 1931. and the equipping of the building continued until 1937., but the chapel has not yet been fully completed.
