Trenkovo ​​its name recalls the legendary warrior and Slavonian nobles Francis Baron Trenck (1711th-1749th), which has remained in the memory of the people and that is always proud of Slavonia. For centuries, the present village Trenkovo ​​called Mitrovica, but it was at the request of the villagers 1912th was changed because there was in Croatia in another Mitrovica in Sirmium (today Sremska Mitrovica in Vojvodina). In that quiet Slavonian village, located about ten miles north of Pozega the final southern slopes Papuk is TRENKOVO castle.
