Diocletian, Latin Gaius Valerius Auerlius Diocletianus (Gaius Aurelius Valerius Diocletian), (236th or 237th to 3rd prosinca 316) was born in Dalmatia (Dioclea, near Salona - today Solin), his coming to power ended the period of five decades anarchy and senseless struggle for the throne.
