Badalic he began his education in Brod, Kostajnica, he attended high school in Zagreb. After completion of high school in Vienna, he graduated from classical philology 1874. That same year he was appointed teacher in the gymnasium in Rijeka, 1882. returned to Zagreb where he worked in high school in the Upper Town.
