
ZDENKO RUNJIĆ
Zdenko Runjic (Slavonski Brod, 26 October 1942. - Split, 27 October 2004.), Croatian composer and musician.
Since 1945. lives in Split, where he finished elementary and secondary technical school. His melodies are sung: Oliver Dragojević, Miso Kovac, Josipa Lisac, Ibrica Jusic, Goran Karan, Mary Cetinic, Novi fosili, Magazin, Doris Dragović, as well as many other performers. He has won numerous awards. Runjić song Seagull and I is considered one of the best Croatian songs ever, and became the unofficial anthem of the city of Split and Dalmatia. Zdenko Runjic was also a successful businessman, and his record label Skalinada very quickly became a noted publishing house in Croatia. Success brought him enemies, and so in 1993. year because of disputes with the festival was founded by its festival called Melodies of the Croatian Adriatic. In 1998. Porin was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award.
