Vatroslav Lisinski (Ignac Fux) is the author of the first Croatian opera Love and Malice. He was among the most gifted composers of the Illyrian movement and the first Croatian professional musician who also laid the foundation of the opera, solo songs, orchestral and choral music in Croatia. Today the most important concert hall in Zagreb bears his name.
