In Croatian literary has been relatively little writers in their literary works entered the elements of satire and humor as a special visual angle of looking at certain social events. In the 19th century there were few: Stanko Vraz, Anthony Kovacic and Sylvia Strahimir Kranjčević written several successful satirical works, and humor elements are found occasionally in the works of Janko Jurkovic, William Korajca, Augusta Senoe and Joseph Eugen Tomic. And that's all. In fact, until the appearance of Slavko Kolar (1891-1963), and we can not talk about a writer whose entire literary work was imbued with exclusive categories of humor and satire.
